FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I expect when I arrive? What are Sundays like? How should I dress? We know visiting a new church can be daunting. Check out our FAQ below to help make sure you feel comfortable when you are here. If you have more specific questions, please reach out to our church office.
What are your services like?
During the school year we gather for worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.. The 8:00 a.m. service is mostly spoken with a couple hymns. The 10:15 a.m. service is a fuller liturgy with a choir, service music, and occasionally a children's choir or bell choir. At least one service includes holy communion each week, but many weeks there is communion at both services. Between the services, we have Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. There are classes for people of every age.
What should I wear?
Whatever style is most comfortable for you! We have members who wear dresses, ties, jeans, shorts, and even game day jerseys. We want you to wear what puts you at ease.
Where should I park?
We have a large parking lot that includes handicapped parking accessible on King Street and Patrick Avenue. There is also street parking on King and parking spots on Patrick across from the church.
Is child care available?
While we currently do not offer a staffed nursery, we do have one that has the service piped into the room. We also offer kid's activity bags located by the entrance into the sanctuary. We are a kid-friendly church and even have a row with extra space for them to wiggle and play. Please check with an usher if you have any questions!
How long are your services?
Our regular Sunday services are just over an hour. Times may change based on special events in the service.
Can I take communion as a visitor?
Absolutely! At St. Paul's we believe that Christ invites us all to the table.
